Yachting & Boating

Term ‘Yatch’ originates from the Dutch language meaning to 'Hunt'. This is because Dutch Navy used a light fast sailing vessel to pursue pirates and other enemies on shallow waters. The other end of the coin 'Yatch' term fitted perfectly to this adventure because this is an adventure based on a vessel.

There are two ways one could enjoy a ‘Yatch’; firstly as a competitor competing with others on races or enjoying the luxurious experience with your loved ones. You are able to experience both these adventure types in Sri Lankan beaches.

You can avail of ‘Luxurious Yatching’ from Colombo, Galle or Trincomalee. You are also able to get more advice on the same from Colombo Harbour as well. Copetitive or adventurous yatching experience could be found at Bentota, Beruwala, Aluthgama, Kalpitiya, Trincomalee, and Passekudah regions.
